What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I say Italy?..

B. Pasta

Well yeah, all of the above, but I guess you don't think about amazing bands there huh?? Well. you are wrong, 'cause there's one... and its name is THE ANTHEM.

They are a four piece rock/pop punk band hailing from Cisterna(LT), very close to Rome. Their music is a mix of unforgettable melodies, explosive guitar hooks and relentlessly driving rhythms.

The band formed in the late 2004 while all of its members were teenagers. They're influenced by the American pop-punk rock bands, but they take inspiration from every kind of music.

THE ANTHEM MEMBERS ARE:
Dario Di Franceschi (vocals, guitar)
Paolo Notarsanti (bass, vocals)
Alessandro Trapella (guitar)
Matteo Martelli (drums)

So, all I can say is check them out, they are pretty talented and I'll bet they are going to be huge. They are from Italy but they even have a U.S. Street Team.. that is pretty awesome.. There's bands in the U.S. that dream about having their own street team someday.

RETRO IGNITE... VIDEO!

Remember how much I love this band???...
Yeah, Retro Ignite, they are beyond awesome.....
So, if you haven't checked them out yet...you are crazy!

Here's a video from their summer tour, its amazing, a really funny video, where you can feel more identified with the band, see how fun they are and notice that they are just normal persons like all of us doing what they love...music!.. Also, the video song is one of my favorites so... listen ;)

LUCKY GIRL

The girl who marries the guy I met today...

why?

'Cause he's somebodies prince charming, literally.
He works at this huge company doing marketing (pretty good money), he's a college graduate, he's nice (not jerk at ALL), cute and a gentleman.... This is his story: He works at this company right, works his ass off since he is 18 (in the same company). His parents are loaded (I know that 'cause we found out that his sister used to hang out with me), so we were talking and he was telling me how much he loves his job and all, but he gets really tired and he feels like he's loosing his social life. Between our long conversation I asked, where do you spend your money?, 'cause I know his parents paid for his college studies, they pay his trips, they paid for his BMW, basically they give him all the money he needs... So why working so hard?... He said: Ok, I know I'm blessed for having my parents who give me all the things I need and also things I don't need... but the reason I'm working so hard since I'm 18 is my wife.... And I freaked out and said... your wife? He said: future wife.... And I asked why? He said: I made a life plan, so I worked since I'm 18 trough 22 trying to achieve one goal, and all my check's without spending a dime went to my bank account.... what's the goal? Being able to buy an incredible engagement ring for my future wife. (awwwwww)

Then since I got promoted at 22.. I start to work focusing in another goal, I'm 26 now, and I'm going to focus on that goal till the day I get married. All my checks have been going to the account without spending a dime... and what's the other goal? Being able to give my fiancee the wedding of her dreams, when the time of the wedding organization arrives, I want to be able to tell her, I have this much in the bank and it cost me so many years, and its for you, so use it wisely and enjoy planning the happiest day of our lives. (AWWWWWWWWWWWWW) You can tell that after hearing this I had my mouth opened almost touching the floor.... This guy is something... something special... He's like one in a million.... I asked why he was so into saving and all, if he knows that at the moment he asks his parents for money they will give it without asking the reason.. and he said: I want my girl to know that her ring, the one she's going to wear till she dies, was a hard work of mine, a hard work just for her. Also want her to know, that I'm someone that can take care of her, and that I thought about her without even knowing her.... (AWWW) He's not too much into drinking or smoking but he likes to casual party. He doesn't has a girlfriend... and he's not looking like crazy for one, he says, the one will come at the right time.. ;)




I wish to be: In this guy's mind, to see why is he so different to the rest? I want to see what made him realize at such a young age that he wanted to make his wife really happy and to think about marriage... (something that guys are starting to avoid as long as they can in this generation)

DREAMS

So, I lost a friend yesterday... not like she died or anything, just we had a big fight, and I'm a pretty proud person so It's hard for me to say I'm sorry, but I did, kinda, and she was like I do NOT accept that.
So, I was like ok blah blah... So, I'm not going to talk to her anymore. I know it's childish, but since we became friends (just skype and AIM friends... she lives in Texas) I told her, at the beginning, that I was complicated and that I talked a lot about the same stuff (a guy and self-problems....) and that I tend to put myself down..
Sometimes I felt like she was bored with our conversations, and told her, hey do you want me to change the subject?, and she was like.. NO, keep talking about that, you entertain me.
So, I did...
I warned her, that I can be pretty bitchy or bipolar sometimes, and I remind her this when we had the fight... and she said, I don't care you warned me, Im 15 and you are 21, and I don't care about your stuff.. (something like that, I don't remember that well), she started to complain about favors she did for me..(stuff that I asked for but, she could have say no at the time) but, her lost... I mean, I'm a really good friend, and pretty crazy and interesting.. so.. whatever chica! see ya in the other world!...

But lately, she was being mean sometimes and started to tell me some things I have been listening all my life, and that I HATE!....
Like: you should be more realistic, you have to change your expectations, you should blah blah...
and I don't know why everyone in this effin' earth is so ¨REALISTIC¨ I must say.
It seems like nobody has dreams anymore, nobody has wishes or high expectations in their lives.
Everyone seems to be conforming with things as they are, that's why the world is not going anywhere... Everybody lost their capacity to dream and wish...
I don't care if you think this post is too ¨ Disney ¨ or whatever... I believe that dreams can come true, I believe that I can realize everything I dream, sky is the limit... and yes, I believe that some effin' prince charming is going to come my way someday...
So, there ya go...


I wish to be: In my bed, dreaming about my next adventure... ;) and thinking about my prince charming (I know who he is, the only thing is that he doesn't know that he is meant to be my prince... big problem huh?)

PLATO IS AWESOME...

I love philosophy (most times), but I specially love Plato, I feel identified with him and with his phrases... Like this one:

Isn't he intelligent? I think all the haters (some of them, my friends..Love you guys but, really!) that are always telling me that my dreams will never come true should read this.. I mean, I'm 21, I think I have plenty of time to realize myself. So.... SHHHHH!

I wish to be: In Hollywood California, or Florida, 'cause in any of those places I'm closer to achieve some dreams I have ;)
